Kris Collums, originally from the small town of Paris in West Tennessee, completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Education in Kinesiology, with a minor in Psychology, at the University of Tennessee. He furthered his education with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

In his personal life, Kris enjoys:

• Quality time with his wife and daughters, Laken and Saylor
• Family outings, including gymnastics and watching Sesame Street
• Cheering for the Volunteers, Atlanta Braves, and New Orleans Saints

Kris’s journey into physical therapy was influenced by his own experiences of overcoming a birth defect through six surgeries and physical therapy, which transitioned him from a wheelchair to active sports participation. This personal transformation fueled his passion to change others’ lives and improve their quality of life.

Excited to start his career at Tristar Physical Therapy, Kris looks forward to making a positive impact on every individual and the community with his professional expertise.
